Picnic

The ideal way to spend quality time with a special someone may vary from person to person; it can either be dining out at a nice restaurant or just watching a movie at home paired with microwavable popcorn. But for those who want to add a little spice to their quality time, there are great alternatives.
Picnics are always a perfect choice for those who enjoy the outdoors and for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. The relaxation that one can get from hearing birds chirping and the breeze whistling from leaves of trees, might seem cliche, but is definitely a setting that creates a romantic ambiance. How do you plan a romantic picnic? There are many different ways to do it.
Whether it's for a one year anniversary, a first date, or a wedding proposal, the following are some practical tips that will help ensure that the date won't turn into a disaster.
Choose a setting and/or location.
The first thing to prioritize is to decide where the picnic will take place. Make sure to opt for a spot that is not crowded and has no resemblance of the busy city. Pick a place that is perfect for a romantic getaway that does not require too long of a drive, as it might take its toll on one's energy and might ruin the momentum. Choosing to a place that is memorable or has a significant meaning is also a good idea.
Prepare the food.
It is always a prerequisite to bring food when going out for a picnic. And since it's a date, the menu should be exquisite. But picnics require food that are easy to pack and easy to eat.. Stay away from greasy, heavy foods. Perhaps a salad and pasta combination would be a great choice. Chocolates would be a perfect choice for dessert.
Pack the appropriate tools.
The items needed for the picnic date will depend on the location. If it's a candle-lit dinner by the beach, bring a roll-up picnic blanket that is waterproof. A portable folding table and bean bags may also be a good option. Make sure to bring insect repellents as to avoid unwanted mosquito bites. For utensils, it is best to stick with paper plates, plastic cups, spoons, and forks, unless the place has a convenient washing area.
Bring your own choice of paraphernalia.
This is the part where one can add a personal touch to the planning. It is of course, the discretion of the person preparing the date, to consider what will please his/her partner. This is when the candles, good music, and good wine may come into play. If stargazing is part of the date, then bring a small telescope. If it's a surprise, it wouldn't hurt to bring a blindfold to keep one's lover in suspense. Perhaps a simple gift will make the moment even sweeter.
These four steps will surely help in narrowing down ideas on how to make the date perfect. Although the idea of a perfect date is highly relative, as long as it's something that will be enjoyable for both parties, and as long as it will infuse a deeper and stronger relationship, then by all means it will turn out to be a memorable experience.
